This extraordinary planetarium is housed inside a 45-ton, bronze-clad, truncated cone whose geometry reflects key astronomical structures and concepts. The cone is tilted to align with the north star at 51.5 degrees, and its top, cut at 90 degrees through the apex, is parallel to the celestial equator.
